To forage, one must assume a relative degree of risk. Fortunately for me I like risk and even more I love exploring nature. Foraging offers a gateway to build your relationship with nature. It is a precious link to history, heritage and age-old medicine, straight from the land. We are constantly searching for the answers, yet they are right beneath our noses, in our back yards, and local parks mesmerized while we drive by at fast speeds. Take some time as woman and slow down. Let's learn what nature has to offer right here in San Diego and just maybe we might relearn what it means to be a woman.
Admiring the assortment of wild flowers and searching for herbs, we will tap into using all of our senses to help us identify and document plant life. Thankfully we do live in 2024, and we have many resources at our finger tips. i will provide you with helpful apps to minimize the risk and learn more about nature.

-strong supportive shoes (protect from critters and harmful plants)

-zip lock bags/shopping bags
-markers
We will start and end with a women's bonding circle. A symbol of our relationship to the land and our commitment to protect it and each other.
